Colin Jackson CBE

Great Britain’s Legendary Hurdler, Multiple Gold Medallist, World Record Holder, TV & Radio Broadcaster

A World Record holder, much loved media personality and inspirational speaker, Colin Jackson is a national treasure and one of the most well-known athletes in Great Britain. When he retired from competing, his multi-medal career and infectious personality made him the natural choice to join the BBC’s athletics commentary team. Over the last 20 years Colin has become an integral part of the team, covering the Rio Olympics in 2004 and all major athletic events since then, including the Olympic Games in London in 2012, Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and most recently Tokyo in 2020.

Colin has also developed into a hugely important figurehead for diversity, inclusion and mental health over the last 5 years. His open and connectible honesty has captivated the media and live audiences alike, as he speaks from the heart about the stressful demands of competing at the highest level, as well as the impacts of anxiety, eating disorders and body dysmorphia. All of which was discussed in the BBCs 2020 Panorama film Athletes  which Colin fronted, bringing to light the darker side of being a professional athlete.

Passionate about learning, Colin became Schools Ambassador for Wey Education in 2019 and continues to work closely within the Online Learning sector today.

For the last 5 years, he’s co-hosted the popular Sunday Morning radio show on BBC Radio Wales with his sister, Suzanne Packer. Colin reached the final of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, and has also competed in Celebrity MasterChef where he reached the knockout week. Other credits include an outstanding “Who Do You think You Are” and most recently The Real Full Monty, raising awareness of cancer and the impact it has on the lives of so many.

Colin is a member of the steering panel for Sport Relief and is also an International Inspiration Ambassador for UNICEF, as well as founding and fronting the Go Dad Run campaign for Prostate Cancer. Since 2014, Colin has been the Sporting Director for the Wings for Life Red Bull charity.

At 56, Colin’s arguably more relevant now than ever, his personable and professional approach, combined with his high profile, means that he is always in demand from the commercial sector, giving more talks now than ever before. He is a confident and charismatic conference/awards host and an outstanding motivational speaker.

Kelly Sotherton MBE

Triple Olympic medallist, Kelly Sotherton, is one of the most influential and passionate female voices in British Sport.

In 2007, Kelly was a vocal critic of two of her rivals’ performances in the Olympics, but it was a further decade before she was vindicated and awarded two Bronze medals from Beijing, as a result of her rivals’ systematic cheating. Having achieved a further Bronze in Athens, alongside two World Championship medals in Osaka and Valencia to add to Commonwealth Gold, Kelly is now one of Britain’s most decorated and talented track and field athletes.

Determined to make a positive change, Kelly’s resolve led her to spearhead the creation of British Athletics’ Athletes Commission. Her advocacy of women’s sport and gender equity resulted in her election in 2015 onto the IAAF Women’s Committee and its Gender Leadership Taskforce and, in 2020, a place in the New Year’s Honours List.

On the track, Kelly has recently been appointed as Team Leader at England Athletics for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022. She coaches the Men’s 1st team at Warwickshire Cricket Club, plus leads the athlete performance for Wasps Rugby Club, too.

Mark Foster

6 x World Champion Swimmer, 5 Time Olympian, 8 World Records, Broadcaster & Speaker

By the time he carried the GB flag at the Opening Ceremony of his fifth Olympic Games in Beijing (2008), Mark was already one of the country’s most celebrated athletes. Now, still one of Britain’s best recognised Olympians, Mark remains a figurehead for British Swimming, as well as a champion and vocal advocate on discussions around LGBT+ diversity and inclusion.

Having internalised and avoided the question of his sexuality throughout his career, Mark decided to share his story in 2017, in part to be true to himself and those going through a similar struggle, but also to challenge the casual levels of homophobia and prejudice prevalent in society. This is now a focal part of his corporate offering, as Mark speaks candidly about the impact it had on his swimming career.

After a career which saw Mark win 51 international medals and set 8 world records, Mark moved seamlessly into the studio for the Delhi Commonwealth Games. Having been recognised in 2012 alongside Clare Balding for their coverage of the London Olympics, Mark has been a mainstay on the BBC where his insight, clarity of thought and natural chemistry in front of camera is held in very high regard.

Away from the pool, Mark’s dalliance with wearing very little continued with an acclaimed appearance in The Real Full Monty in 2012, having temporally covered up (to much fanfare) during his stint on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Mark teamed up with Strictly’s Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe as part of their FitSteps dancing fitness classes, providing nutritional information and lifestyle advice for subscribers. Since then he’s become a global ambassador for his signature range with Ted Baker, created a swimming line and founded a grassroots swimming academy putting on clinics for aspiring youngsters throughout the country.
